Generate public awareness and interest in the Teton River Canyons

About Save the Teton River Canyons

The Save the Teton River Canyons Coalition is a group of local residents, outdoor recreation businesses, and conservation organizations that are working together to raise awareness about the Teton River Canyons, which include Badger Creek, Bitch Creek, Canyon Creek and the Teton River itself.

We recognize that clean and abundant water is a vital resource for people, crops and fish and wildlife. We believe that eastern Idaho’s water needs can be met without rebuilding Teton Dam or constructing other new dams in the Teton Canyons, in a way that makes economic sense and protects a way of life that includes fishing, hunting, paddling and farming.

Our goals are to generate public awareness about the special values of the Teton River Canyons, inform those who cherish the canyons about ongoing public processes that will determine their long-term fate, and ultimately convince decision-makers to protect this special place for current and future generations.

Through this website and our associated social media channels, we are inviting YOU to help us tell the story of the Teton River Canyons and shape their future.
